how to put a song in your Instagram bio

Instagram gives you one link in your bio and no way to put music in it. The music sticker works in a story, where it disappears after a day, and nowhere on your profile. So the question people actually have is not how to add a song to a bio — you cannot — but what to put in the one link so that tapping it plays something.

There are three ways people do it, and they cost different things.

point the link at a streaming service

Paste a Spotify or Apple Music link straight into your bio. It works, and it is the fastest thing to do.

What it costs: the tap leaves. Whoever followed you lands in an app that is now showing them its own recommendations, and nothing about that page is yours — not the layout, not the order, not who else is on the screen. If they do not have the app installed, some of them get a signup wall instead of a song.

point it at a link-in-bio page

Linktree and the rest give you a page of buttons. Your song becomes one row among your shop, your other socials and whatever else is on there.

What it costs: nothing plays. A list of links is a menu, and a menu asks somebody to choose before anything happens. The song is one tap further away than it looks, and the page it sits on is mostly about other things.

point it at a page that is only songs

The third way is a page whose whole job is the songs: it opens, it plays, and there is nothing else on it to read.

That is what this product is. You type a name, you get sixseven.link/yourname, and you put that in your bio. Up to five songs, playing on the page rather than somewhere else, and you can change them whenever without the link changing — so nothing you already shared breaks.

There is no account. Typing a name is the whole of it.

which one to use

If you just want the song reachable and you do not care where people end up, the streaming link is fine and takes ten seconds.

If your bio has to carry a shop and three socials as well, a link-in-bio page is the honest answer — that is the job it is for.

If the thing you actually want is for someone to tap your name and hear what you are listening to, a page of links is a detour and a streaming app is somebody else's room. Make one and see.

sixseven is a page with five songs on it. make one.
